Welcome to Beechmont
Beechmont is a family-oriented, tight-knit community in south Louisville. Beechmont came from the beech trees native to the area and its abundance of open space. Today Beechmont is bordered by Wyandotte and Iroquois. Beechmont is a park-centered district with many outings located at one of the local parks.

As a historic neighborhood, Beechmont has a neighborhood association, the Beechmont Neighborhood Association, BNA, that withholds the integrity of Beechmont and plans public events. The Beechmont Neighborhood Association Facebook Page is the primary communication platform for the BNA. Here they post updates about their recreational activities- both past and upcoming.
The best way to get involved with the BNA is to attend community meetings. The meetings occur on the 21st of each month via Zoom. Check the BNA website for the link! We encourage those interested in the community to join/follow the Beechmont Neighborhood Association Facebook page and regularly check the BNA website.
The BNA has two phenomenal recurring events, The Open-Air Market and the Festival Of Flowers.
"The Beechmont Neighborhood Association holds the Open-Air Market every Saturday from May until September (2022 dates will be posted soon). The Open-Air Market is located outside at the corner of Southern Parkway and West Wellington Avenue. Farmers, producers, and artisans will have items available for you to purchase. This event is free to attend and open to all, so invite your family, friends, and neighbors."- Open Air Market

Along with the annual festival of flowers, "The Beechmont Neighborhood Association holds the annual Harvest Festival every May at the same location as the Open-Air market. The events held at the Harvest Festival change from year-to-year. However, one thing that stays the same is the comradery and togetherness experienced there. Community input meetings are very important in Beechmont.
The Beechmont Neighborhood Association holds several input meetings throughout the year for various reasons ranging from new projects or changes within the community. These meetings are for the public and are centered around giving feedback to the board members.
