Centered on the intersection of Preston Highway and the Outer Loop, Okolona is a great location and had a "population of 17,807 at the 2000 census." -Wikipedia. These individuals celebrate Okolona's tight-knit feel, and helpful people provide its friendliness. 

 Local and corporate businesses litter Okolona and the surrounding area, making it a perfect example of Louisville's intersectionality. 

 Okolona Park is sponsored by the Louisville Parks and Recreation organization. It's a phenomenal park offering "Basketball, Basketball, Ballfield, Tennis, A picnic Shelter, and a Playground as amenities."-Louisvilleky.gov

There are few recurring events in Okolona. However, I recommend liking/following the Okolona Neighbors and Friends Public Facebook Group. As an open page, anyone with a Facebook account can join and view the extensive details of the group and see what's posted.
